Last updated: 2 weeks ago

Expo City Dubai has unveiled its new residential initiative, Al Waha, which will transform the former Expo 2020 country pavilions into a collection of 280 upscale apartments and lofts. Located near Dubai's bustling business district, the development offers a mix of one- and two-bedroom homes, set amidst the Al Waha canopies that give the project its name.

Al Waha promises an exclusive, high-end living experience, with residences that boast modern design, spacious interiors, and premium finishes. The apartments feature soaring ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, private entrances, and access to tranquil courtyards. The development includes dedicated underground parking and is designed to provide residents with a peaceful retreat, while still being within easy reach of the city’s vibrant activities.

Chief Development and Delivery Officer Ahmed Al Khatib emphasized the project’s role in Expo City Dubai's broader vision, stating that Al Waha marks a significant milestone in the development of a sustainable, integrated, and people-centric community. He highlighted that the residences set new standards in urban living, combining luxury with modern connectivity and offering residents both serenity and convenience.

Pricing for the units starts at AED 1.71 million for one-bedroom apartments, with two-bedroom lofts available from AED 3.97 million. The project is expected to be completed by late 2026, with options for investors to purchase entire buildings consisting of 10-12 units.

The Al Waha development is part of Expo City Dubai’s larger expansion plans, which aim to create a 3.5-square-kilometer urban area that will house 35,000 residents and accommodate 40,000 professionals. Additional developments, including Expo Valley villas, townhouses, and other residential projects, are currently under construction. The area will be well-connected by metro and highways to Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and is conveniently located near the Dubai Exhibition Centre and Al Maktoum International Airport.

These signature residences are set to become a key component of Expo City’s evolution into a major center for future living in Dubai.
